I met up with Jessica and Eric in one of the larger parks in the area…Kensington Metro.  It took me a while to get there, but once I did and hooked up with the two, it was great!  Another gorgeous fall day with yet another cute and fun couple.  Very much looking forward to their wedding on my brothers birthday next June.  Thanks for being so great in front of the camera you two…I hope you like what we got!

  • Jess W - DUSTIN! Eric and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Thank you so much for these beautiful pictures! 🙂 Can not wait for you to capture our wedding!

  • brephotography - Great job!!! Love them!!!

You might remember Kara and Jonathan from this past summer…I photographed their wedding in June.  We never got around to doing an engagement session, so we met up when I got back from the east coast and did a lifestyle session in the “D.”  I had a great time photographing the two of them again…it’s always nice to work with people more than once, it’s much “easier” on everyone, as the relationship between me and them has already been established, which I feel is the most important part of engagement sessions.  (That was a big run-on sentence ;))  Kara and Jonathan were themselves, so naturally they were able to work it for the camera a little bit.  Thanks you two, so great to see you and hear about married life…enjoy 🙂

  • brett maxwell - love, love, love those shots under the trees. awesome work, they definitely need a big canvas of one of those.

  • Jess W - Wow Dustin, I have never seen Detroit in such a beautiful way! Great pictures!

  • Mom - Trees, the city, the couple-beautiful!

  • Karyn May - *sigh* SO Beautiful! Love the locations, the couple, her dress- love it all. 🙂

Erin and Nic were married on a very special and important day to me.  October 31st, while many of you know this day as Halloween, I know it as my mom’s birthday and now Erin and Nic’s anniversary!  That coupled with autumn easily being my favorite season, really put me in a great mood to have fun with Erin, Nic, and their friends and family on such a special day.  It was a little chilly and a bit windy as well, but Erin, Nic and the bridal party dealt with it in style 🙂

Their wedding did have a lovely autumn theme, with great colors and details.  Ana from Two Foot Creative was there to make sure the day ran smoothly…thanks Ana!  Also, Rock the Booth was there with a photo booth and I have to say, while I have worked with many photo booth companies, I really loved everything about Rock the Booth…can’t reccommend them enough.

The ceremony took place at Knox with the reception following being held at one of my favorite Ann Arbor venues, Barton Hills, which always looks beautiful.  One of the surprises of the evening for me, was the speeches/toasts.  Documenting weddings, I have witnessed many and have heard ones that put tears in my eyes and ones that make me slap my knee laughing.  I LOVED what I heard and saw at Erin and Nic’s wedding…I laughed and cried and had a huge smile on my face.  It was so awesome to see all the great people Erin and Nic have in their lives and after sharing their day with them, I can see why.  To all you speech/toast givers reading this…great job and thank you!

Erin and Nic, you know I had fun on your day and I thank you…I hope you enjoy the images as much as I enjoyed capturing them 🙂

A little, their view, my view with Rock the Booth!

  • Mom - Stunning couple and colors! And what a great day for a wedding!

  • Bride - Wonderful pictures Dustin! You captured our personalities, the beauty and spirit of it all so well:) I can’t wait to order prints. Thank you, Thank you!

After Stefanie and Thomas’ wedding in Boston, I took the shuttle over to Manhattan, where my brother lives.  I was also there for Photo Expo Plus as well as to photograph Jenna and Joe’s engagement session.  The two get hitched in a few short weeks and I’m looking forward to flying out to New Jersey to see them again and rock out their wedding.

I’ve known Jenna for quite a while…since my 8th grade year actually.  We met while I went along to a band competition to help out with the 7th grade stuff.  My first real memories are from the bus ride back to the school after the competition.  Jenna is one of those friends that while you may not talk to all the time, when you do, you are able to pick up where you left off.  Jenna has such great personality and as you can see from the pics, has become a gorgeous woman.  It was so great to meet the man that makes her happy and will be sharing her life with her.

Joe is quieter than Jenna, but I can honestly say, she made a great choice!  Joe, thank you for treating my friend with such acceptance, warmth, and kindness…it just makes me like you more.  Jenna, I really could go on and on about my thoughts and feelings for you…I truly do love you and thinking of you and hanging out with you still makes me so happy and in such a great mood.  I am honored to come out and share you and Joe’s day with you and your family and I can’t wait to meet your boys.  Enjoy your pics and remember…Heemolalasheeskinfaska!
