I received Raechel ad Josh’s album a week and a half ago, so it’s time for some pics!  Their album is a rich brown leather 12″x 12″ with 58 pages.  It is a flushmount album with a ‘timeless’ design and is a nice big 12″ x 24″ when open!  Pics and more info below…

Their album comes with this baroque inspired cloth cover…

It does a great job protecting it from dust and scratches and it slides in and out easily.

The leather is soft and supple and outright gorgeous!

album_03

The pages are nice with a perfect 2mm thickness.

album_08

When open, the album lays perfectly flat making viewing a breeze.

The spreads are a full image, so there is no traditional gutter giving the one foot by two foot spreads even more impact!

album_06

The album has rounded corners with the pages remaining square.

Here’s a couple of the spreads to show you how gorgeous both black and white and color images are!

Kassy brought home some CD’s to upload onto my computer and I put in a Foo Fighters CD and Gracenote was confused.  Not sure if it was in fact Foo Fighters or Michael Bolton.  Where are the similarities there?  Silly iTunes!

for-real

Back in October, I shot another fabulous wedding with my friend Nicole.  It was a perfect autumn day and you know what that means….great light!  Annie and Jon opted for a first sight which is always nice and gives more time to get some great images.  The first sight took place on Independence Lake and in my opinion couldn’t have been better.  The ceremony was held and the adorable Webster Church located in Dexter and the reception was at the ritzy Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor.  I had a great time with Nicole, Annie, Jon and the bridal party!

Boys will be boys!

As you can tell, I was Nicole‘s W-I-D-E eye for the day.  Make sure to check out her post to see some more stellar images!  CLICK HERE!

  • Annie - I’ve now looked at these pictures a million times and I love them! We are definitely going to get a BIG copy of the panoramic pic by the lake.
Thanks so much for all your hard work-it was a pleasure working with you!

This summer, I tagged along with my buddy Nicole to photograph one of her brides from this past summer.  I posted two versions of one of the pics on my blog back then and haven’t really looked at them since.  Today, I was looking for a file and I stumbled across this one.  This image was taken as a test, to check my metering for the sky to make sure it is what I wanted.  I then turned on my flash to illuminate Melinda.  With this one, I thought it could use a little dreamy, moodiness, so this is what it turned out like.  What do you think?

  • Marcus - I like it Dustin, good work!

  • Jim Shields - Awesome shot!

  • Wendy M - I like it…as art. Not as a portrait, because you can’t really see the person. But it makes me feel something, so I like it.

  • John Shields - I love the anonymity of the shot and the representation of overwhelming joy that most brides feel on their wedding day.

  • Melissa Mooradian - This is an amazing shot! Good thing you found it! It is so dreamy and romantic. LOVE IT!

  • Navy Sou - OMG!!!!

  • Mom - dreamy, dreamy, dreamlike… beautiful and illuminating even as it conveys something mysterious and exciting…..

  • Amanda @ Bliss Weddi - Dustin, this is gorgeous! Melinda was one of my fabulous brides also. 🙂 I am blown away by this shot. Amazing.

  • Wendy - What a cool pic!
What happened to the pics at the top of your blog??
