Last Saturday, I met up with Lesley and Ben to do their engagement session.  They were in town from Cincinnati doing a whole bunch of wedding stuff, since their wedding is here in Ann Arbor next May.  It was nice to see them again and more importantly get to know them better.  We had a relaxed, fun time walking around downtown Ann Arbor stopping by many of the uber popular places to photograph.  I got a good look at the rock on Lesley’s finger and all I can say, is, “Good job Ben!!!”  All in all it was a fun evening and naturally I am looking forward to this rivalry of a wedding…Lesley is an Ohio State girl and Ben is a Michigan boy.  Go Buckerines!

Who doesn’t love a sweet door?

I swear I did not do a thing to her eyes!  This is what ‘serious’ looks like!

Definitely not in Buckeye country…

Splish! Splash!

“And remember, BEE yourself!”  Movie anyone?

Love these moments…

Love it!

KUH-YOU-TT!

  • Alisha E. - Oh MY that bee shot is OUTSTANDING! How perfect.

  • Rachael - Ummm…yet again some tasty images. I am loving the image in front of the theater!

  • Lesley + Ben: Wedding » Dustin Francis Photography Blog - […] Lesley and Ben live in Cincinatti, but I am excited that that will all change in July, as they have both accepted jobs at the Univeristy of Michigan Hospital.  Ben will be in the ER and Lesley will be in the ICU.  Lesley  went to Ohio State University, so she will literally be surrounded by the enemy…wait a minute, she married the enemy.  That’s right folks, Ben is a Wolverine and Lesley is a Buckeye…I didn’t even know that was allowed, but you know what they say, “Love conquers all.” […]

Right now I’m in Chicago for the Free To Succeed tour with David Jay and the uber-fab Jasmine Star (j*).  My train was delayed by 1 million hours yesterday (6.5 hours) so I got in way behind schedule.  I needed to get here pronto as I had an engagement session with one of my September couples, Zayna and Rani.  We made the best of the time we had and I’m looking forward to going through and posting some pics!  Zayna and Rani, thank you for showing me a little bit of Chicago, you were absolutely awesome to photograph and hang out with!!!!  I am so looking forward to your wedding!!!!

I have another engagement session to post as well, so stay tuned!

  • Christa - Hmmm….looks familiar! 🙂

This past Saturday I went and photographed the wedding of my cousin Rochelle about an hour and a half northeast of Ann Arbor.  I have been looking forward to their day since April when we first started talking about me capturing it.  Naturally, it was great to see some extended family that I don’t see all that often as well as document Rochelle and Tracy’s wedding.  The weather didn’t cooperate 100%, so the ceremony was moved inside of Devil’s Ridge Golf Club, where both ceremony and reception were held.  Rochelle’s father, Mike performed the ceremony and it was absolutely wonderful and very emotional.  When the rain let up, the bridal party and some family went outside to grab a few quick shots and of course drive the golf carts a little.  After that is was some fantastic food and boogyin’ on down, which I always look forward to.  I had a great time and am so glad I was able to share their day with them.  Congrats you two!!!!!

Love this one…

Rochelle + Dress = STUNNING!!!

Count the diamonds…

Mr. Daper…

This tie was easily more difficult to put on then tying one.

Figuring out what to do about the rain.  Love the look on Rochelle’s face…

The whole day it was SOOO evident the close bond that father and daughter shared.  Just look at their eyes, you’ll see it!

First look…

Speech! Speech! Speech!

Awwww!

Tracy didn’t get up until he finished his meal, which was about 1,367 minutes after everyone else.  It was some good food though!

When he did finish, we went out side for a couple minutes to try and catch the only good light of the day.

Love this one!

A few details…

I’m tellin’ you, tears!

Rochelle’s parents and Tracy’s mom and new hubby!

“You’re just to good to be true. Can’t take my eye’s off of you.  You’d be like heaven to touch…”

There was a little of this…

And a little more…

Father and daughters gettin’ down to end the evening…

On Friday, 8-8-08, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Lisa and Drew.  It was a perfect day for an outdoor wedding!  Both the ceremony and reception took place at the bride’s parents house, which was absolutely beautiful!  The ceremony was held in their garden and created such a nice backdrop for such an event.  Even when the sun went down, there were stars, clouds, and the moon to add to the party.  Lisa and Drew where laid-back and enjoyed their day sharing it with those close to them. Fun, fun, fun!

  • Wendy - Good work again, D! I love the 2 black and whites next to each other with them together and laughing, those are great shots!!

  • nicole - These look great. Their portraits look very relaxed and fun! Nice job.

  • ohana photographers - that last shot is rockin!
