Tonight I photographed a wedding with a friend, Wendy Martin.  We had a blast.  The wedding took place in Northville, MI in a beautiful church.  Both the ceremony and the reception were held there.  The bride, Kristen, was absolutely stunning as were the brides maids.  The sun was out and there was beautiful light all day long.  Another superb wedding…gotta love it!

And more kisses.

And even more kisses.  With this one, I tried it two ways, one a little moody and one with a texture taken from the floor of the church…I like it!

I took a real quick shot of Wendy for her website and blog…doesn’t she look great?  Wendy has a great eye and an awesome personality and I think she’s on her way to being an excellent photographer.  Check out her blog!

Adobe very recently released a Beta version of a product it mentioned last year as being in the works…Photoshop Express.  It’s similar to iPhoto and other super easy to use image editor’s, but since it is an Adobe product, it has other tricks up it’s sleeve.  It is an online program and gives you 2GB of storage and has a lot of neat features.  It’s not really like Photoshop CS3 or Elements at all, but it’s still pretty darn cool.  Oh yeah, it cost free dollars and free cents.  Check it out!

Stay tuned…I have a wedding I am photographing with the lovely Wendy Martin this Saturday and I should have images posted around 2am Sunday morning.

Last night, I went to see the movie Jumper with my mom and one of my brothers.  I had no idea that a lot of it was filmed where I live.  How weird is that?  I love Ann Arbor, and if you’re a photographer, you should too…it’s the home of this little program you might have heard of called Photoshop.  That’s right, brothers, John and Thomas Knoll developed Adobe Photoshop in the late 80’s.  Thomas Knoll still lives in Ann Arbor and is the genius behind Adobe Camera Raw which is also the main architecture for Adobe Lightroom. Anyway, Jumper wasn’t a great movie or anything, but it was pretty entertaining and it was neat seeing sights I’ve been seeing for 20+ years.

  • Adrienne - Hi! Great blog and beautiful photos! Just wanted to say thank you for posting that sharpening tutorial and action set. I’ve found both very useful and it was so kind of you to share! Thanks again and looking forward to seeing more of your work 🙂

So to try and solve my headache issues, I went to the doctor which in turn told me to go to the optometrist and now I have ‘computer’ glasses.  I just got them yesterday, but so far they seem to be helping.  It takes me a lot longer to get a headache and when I do, it goes away much faster.  They’re just +0.5’s…like the +1.00 and up you can get everywhere, only since they’re so weak, you need a prescription.  How silly is that?  Not too pleased I need them, but sitting in front of a computer as long as I do, is bound to do something to you.  At least I’m not sitting in front of a CRT monitor that emits radiation.  What do ya think?
