It was my niece, Violet’s very first Easter this year, so I made sure to take my camera over to my mom’s when we got together to get a few shots of her.  It’s still crazy how much she looks like my sister when  she was her age.  She’s is quite the cutie and has a lot of fun with life, like most babies tend to do!  Here are a few (maybe to many) pics of her from Easter a couple weeks ago 🙂  Love you Violet!

Love this one of Violet with momma and daddy 🙂

My fav of just her 🙂

Love the interaction of mother and daughter…I need to get one of father and daughter soon.

Just a quick update on my kitties…they are doing great!  Living alone these days, at times they help keep me sane and at others I feel they rob me of my sanity…it’s funny how it works out.  I have A LOT OF pics of them, but here are two that are less than 10 minutes old.  Nothing special, just what they are doing at this very moment.  Their personalities have changed quite a bit and in some ways, they have traded traits or adopted one another’s…I think this just comes from being around one another and getting to know the other better.  I’m happy to say that Moxie will now actually come and sit in my lap or lay on me in bed…a “normal” cat thing that she really only did when she was younger and even then, not with me.  I talk to them all the time, so naturally they talk back and I love the distinct “voices” they have.  Of course they both crave attention, but do so in very distinct ways.  Moxie is much more forceful about letting you know she’s there and that you should pay attention to her.  Bokeh, prefers to just stare at you or walk around until you invite her to come sit/lay with you.  They crack me up most of the time and it does feel a little weird to be talking about cats like this, but they really are a large part of my home life and I am thankful I have them around.  I’m proud to be their Papa and I will be here for them always 🙂

Moxie is laying on the bench I bought for them to be able to lay in the sun and look out the window….

Bokeh is laying under the couch making sure she can rest but still see the entire family room…you know how cats are.  Bokeh officially has a middle name now.  It is; Chokah-latah-yah-yah.   Yes, that’s right folks, she has a ridiculous name and she loves it 🙂  I’m having trouble with Moxie’s, as I didn’t name her in the first place.  I’m sure it will come with time…

That’s right folks, I picked up my new letterpress business cards yesterday and they are super funky-funky-fresh.  Actually, they are delicate, pretty, and timeless…exactly what I strive for with my branding and imagery.  These beauties were printed by a local letterpress vendor who I can not recommend enough.  Elevated Press is run by a husband and wife team here in Ann Arbor and Michelle and Pete are such kind, easy going people making everything about the process organic and fun.  I really do love giving my money to local businesses and I love it even more when they are as great as Elevated Press!  If you are a bride or groom in need of some gorgeous save-the-dates, invitations, thank you cards, or anything else that is letterpress papery goodness, contact Michelle over at Elevated Press and sit back and wait to be amazed at what she can create for you!

Here are the details…

Silver ink (Pantone 877)       Love that it prints a beautiful gray with the tiniest bit of shimmer.

Double sided with my logo on one side and contact info on the other       The logo side has a deeper impression, really making my logo pop.

What’s a post about my cards without pics?!?

In case you’re not too familiar with letterpress, you really do need to SEE and FEEL them to appreciate their beauty 😉

Here’s what I made for lunch today.  A little penne pasta in a light cream sauce with some bell peppers peppers and chicken…mmmmm.
