I was approached a couple months ago about featuring one of my fav weddings ever in Metro Detroit Bride magazine, which is an Hour Media publication.  The wedding featured, was none other than Zayna and Rani.  Zayna and Rani had a huge wedding back in September that was too much fun to put into words and if I had to, I would say it was schnatatasticallymarvelouciouslyyummerific.  I now see why they wanted a classic image in front of the Birmingham Theatre, as it is the opening page to the Wedding album section of the magazine.  I feel honored and blessed to have worked with such a fun couple as well as have their wedding featured in Metro Detroit Bride.  The magazine is on newstands now, so pick up your copy or check it out…(pages 88 & 89)!

I received Raechel ad Josh’s album a week and a half ago, so it’s time for some pics!  Their album is a rich brown leather 12″x 12″ with 58 pages.  It is a flushmount album with a ‘timeless’ design and is a nice big 12″ x 24″ when open!  Pics and more info below…

Their album comes with this baroque inspired cloth cover…

It does a great job protecting it from dust and scratches and it slides in and out easily.

The leather is soft and supple and outright gorgeous!

album_03

The pages are nice with a perfect 2mm thickness.

album_08

When open, the album lays perfectly flat making viewing a breeze.

The spreads are a full image, so there is no traditional gutter giving the one foot by two foot spreads even more impact!

album_06

The album has rounded corners with the pages remaining square.

Here’s a couple of the spreads to show you how gorgeous both black and white and color images are!

Back in October, I shot another fabulous wedding with my friend Nicole.  It was a perfect autumn day and you know what that means….great light!  Annie and Jon opted for a first sight which is always nice and gives more time to get some great images.  The first sight took place on Independence Lake and in my opinion couldn’t have been better.  The ceremony was held and the adorable Webster Church located in Dexter and the reception was at the ritzy Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor.  I had a great time with Nicole, Annie, Jon and the bridal party!

Boys will be boys!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of hopping on the train and going to Chicago to photograph the wedding of Rachel and Terry with my buddy Kenny Kim. It was definitely a change from the weddings I have been photographing in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area. I started out the day with Terry and his ‘big’ brother Frank before heading downtown Chicago to meet up with Kenny, David, and the ladies at the Renaissance Hotel. Rachel looked stunning, reminding me of a ‘classic beauty’. The two opted for a first sight and did so on the terrace of the hotel with the city in the background. We drove around town for a little while stopping and grabbing some shots before heading to the Metropolitan Club on the 66th floor of the Sears Tower. The ceremony and reception took place above the city and the city lights only added to the beautiful ambiance that was already present. All in all a very relaxed, enjoyable weekend and I love to be able to be there to share such and amazing day with such genuine, fun people. Thank you to Kenny for having me come out and shoot with you and thank you to Terry and Rachel for letting me be a part of your day.

Who taught who?
