Today I photographed a wedding alongside a friend and fellow photographer Jennifer Lynn.  It was great 2nd shooting with her and she got some absolutely killer shots…especially the end of the evening.  The ceremony took place at the large Ward Evangelical Church in the Chapel.  The reception was help at the crazy popular The Inn at Saint John’s in the Judea room.  All in all, it was a very lovely day.  Jennifer and Matt are so cute together and have been together since high school…it was nice to be a part of their big day.  On with the pics!

I had the opportunity to second shoot for Kat Foley today and it was mucho funno!  Some of the bridesmaids started out getting their makeup done at Macy’s, which was a different experience.  I was approached by a Macy’s employee about my “photographing on the premises.”  It was understandable, as I was scampering around three different cosmetic counters grabbing shots of the ladies getting their faces put on.  All ended well, I just had to stick with Laura at the Clinique counter the rest of the time.  A little bit of the getting ready was done at the Courtyard Marriott in Ann Arbor.  The ceremony and reception were held in Saline, MI at the elegant and timeless Weller’s.  It was a lovely day, albeit a bit hot and humid.  All in all it was a relaxed, low-key day, which I feel added to the relaxed, intimate atmosphere.  Congrats to the newlyweds!  Enjoy!

 

 

Today is the second anniversary of my friends Ryan and Katie.  Ryan and Katie’s wedding was the very first official wedding I photographed and I couldn’t have imagined a better one to start off with.  I was going to see them last week, but something came up and we couldn’t get together.  I was hoping to show them the item pictured below (it starts with an A and sounds like shmalbum), as it just came in last week, but I’m sure they’ll get to see it soon enough.  Happy Anniversary Ryan and Katie…you guys rock!!!

I just got back from Erik and Rissa’s wedding.  Today was a gorgeous day to get married and what a gorgeous wedding it was!  The ceremony took place at Riverview Church of God in Riverview, MI and the reception was at the Crystal Park Banquet Center in Allen Park and was a terrific place for celebrating the union of Erik and Rissa.  I was the second photographer and there were also many videographers there, so it was really nice to be able to work with other imaging folk.

During the reception, there were three videos showcased.  One was Erik and Rissa’s engagement video, one was their Love Story, which was a uber-cute documentary-style video on how they met and the final, was a short video from the wedding day, which one of the videographers, Tim, put together…it was AWESOME!!  Also, the videos had some of my favorite artists, The Fray and Feist!
